  1. 1988

    독일에서 잉고 마우러에게 배웠다. 8월 Ingo Maurer GmbH와 조명 컨설턴트 · 파트너 협약을 맺었고 이어 일본의 Yamada Shomei, 덴마크의 LE KLINT와도 협약을 맺었다.He trained in Germany under Ingo Maurer. In August he signed a lighting consultants and partner agreement with Ingo Maurer GmbH, followed by agreements with Yamada Shomei of Japan and LE KLINT of Denmark.

  2. 1992

    6월 서울에 Light and Shade를 세웠다. 같은 해 氷⁠(빙) 갤러리와 이화여대 박물관, 선재 미술관의 전시 조명을 맡았다.In June he established Light and Shade in Seoul. The same year he lit the 氷 Gallery, the Ewha Womans University Museum and the Seonjae Art Museum.

  3. 1995

    이해부터 2002년까지 백화점 다섯 곳의 외관 야경 조명을 설계했다. 미국 조명학회⁠(IESNA) 정회원이 되었고 이듬해 이 학회의 조도계산 · 경관조명 위원회 위원을 맡았다.From this year to 2002 he designed the exterior night lighting of five department stores. He became a full member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the next year sat on its lighting calculation and landscape lighting committees.

  4. 2001

    국민대학교 디자인대학원에서 미술학 석사⁠(실내설계 전공)를 받았다. 이듬해 국민대학교에, 2007년에는 홍익대학교 산업미술대학원에 출강했다.He took an M.A. in Interior Design at Kookmin University Graduate School of Design. He lectured at Kookmin University the next year and at Hongik University Graduate School of Industrial Arts in 2007.

  5. 2007

    광주디자인비엔날레에서 잉고 마우러 기념 초대전을 주관했고 상징 조형물 ‘평화의 빛’의 자문위원이자 디자인 디렉터를 맡았다. 2013년부터 2016년까지는 밀라노, 룩셈부르크, 뮌헨에서 마우러의 프로젝트에 참여했다.At the Gwangju Design Biennale he organised the Ingo Maurer invitation exhibition and served as advisory member and design director for the symbolic sculpture ‘Light of Peace’. From 2013 to 2016 he took part in Maurer’s projects in Milan, Luxembourg and Munich.

  6. 2024

    3월 국민대학교 테크노디자인전문대학원에서 「잉고 마우러 작품에 나타난 예술과 디자인의 ‘경계적 차이’ 연구」로 디자인학 박사를 받았다.In March he received a Ph.D. in Design from Kookmin University Techno Design Graduate School, with the thesis ‘The Boundary Between Art and Design in Ingo Maurer’s Work’.
